The ASCM Award of Excellence — Corporate Transformation recognizes an organizational transformation that elevates the business as a result of a supply chain assessment leveraging ASCM global standards, products, services and resources; the APICS body of knowledge; or the Supply Chain Operations Reference Digital Standard (SCOR-DS) model.
Please read all questions carefully and answer as completely as possible:
- Explain the specific problems intended to be solved via this transformation, as well as its primary goals.
- Describe how ASCM global standards, products, services and resources; the APICS body of knowledge; or the Supply Chain Operations Reference Digital Standard (SCOR-DS) model enabled this transformation. (Note: Entries that fail to clearly explain how ASCM offerings facilitated the transformation are ineligible for this award category.)
- List the outcomes of the transformation and describe its potential for sustainable, lasting change. Whenever possible, include quantifiable results that are measured or counted, such as those involving cost reductions, service-level improvements, time savings, higher satisfaction scores and so on.
- Solution: Did the transformation successfully address the organization’s challenges, and has it led to fundamental, meaningful organizational change?
- Initiative: Did the organization pioneer a successful transformation using ASCM global standards, products, services and resources; the APICS body of knowledge; or the Supply Chain Operations Reference Digital Standard (SCOR-DS) model?
- Results and sustainability: Does the organization operate more efficiently and profitably as a result of the transformation, and is there a clear plan in place to ensure the change is sustainable? (Note: This criterion is weighted twice as heavily as the other criteria.)
The ASCM Award of Excellence — Learning and Development recognizes an organization’s commitment to productivity and advancement based on the effective and ongoing application of educational concepts, competencies and best practices from ASCM performance-driven team training and the APICS body of knowledge.
Please read all questions carefully and answer as completely as possible:
- Explain the specific problems intended to be solved with this ASCM learning and development initiative, as well as its primary goals.
- Describe how ASCM performance-driven team training and/or the APICS body of knowledge enabled this initiative. (Note: Entries that fail to clearly explain how ASCM offerings facilitated learning and development are ineligible for this award category.)
- Explain how the learning and development initiative has enabled employees to contribute to sustainable, lasting organizational improvement. Whenever possible, include quantifiable results that are measured or counted, such as those involving cost reductions, service-level improvements, time savings, higher satisfaction scores and so on.
- Solution: Did the learning and development initiative successfully address the organization’s challenges, and has it led to fundamental, meaningful organizational change?
- Initiative: How effectively did the initiative apply ASCM performance-driven team training and/or the APICS body of knowledge?
- Results and sustainability: Has the initiative positively affected employees and given them the knowledge and skills they need to advance the organization, and is there a clear plan in place to ensure the improvements are sustainable? (Note: This criterion is weighted twice as heavily as the other criteria.)
The ASCM Award of Excellence — Making an Impact recognizes an initiative that creates a better world through supply chain as a result of pioneering corporate social responsibility, proven business integrity and an unwavering focus on sustainability.
Please read all questions carefully and answer as completely as possible:
- Describe the ways in which the organization promotes corporate social responsibility throughout its supply chain and what specific actions are taken to positively affect society and the environment.
- Explain how the organization goes beyond what may be required by regulators or protection groups in order to pioneer economic, ecological and ethical supply chain practices.
- List the outcomes of the effort to make an impact on people, planet and profit. Whenever possible, include quantifiable results that are measured or counted, such as those involving a certain percentage carbon footprint reduction, the number of workers positively affected by improved contracts, the percentage of people of diverse backgrounds in leadership positions, and the like.
- Initiative: Does this organization exhibit superior commitment to developing policies that integrate responsible practices into daily business operations and consistently report on progress made and challenges faced?
- Integrity: Does this organization promote honesty, transparency and ethical behavior among employees, teams and partners?
- Results and sustainability: Has this organization ensured that corporate social responsibility initiatives are integrated throughout its supply chain and are practiced consistently in business relationships, and is there a clear plan in place to ensure the efforts are sustainable? (Note: This criterion is weighted twice as heavily as the other criteria.)
Sponsored by the ASCM Young Professional Committee, the ASCM Award of Excellence — Emerging Supply Chain Leader honors a visionary young professional who has made contributions to the supply chain profession that demonstrates strong potential to become an outstanding leader in the field. Nominees must be no older than 35 years of age or have no more than 8 years of professional experience, as of March 1, 2024.
Please read all questions carefully and answer as completely as possible:
- Describe the nominee’s noteworthy achievements in, and contributions to, the supply chain profession.
- Provide specific examples, such as achievements, innovation and other contributions, that represent the nominee’s potential as a future supply chain leader.
- Describe an event in which the nominee used ASCM global standards, products, services and resources; the APICS body of knowledge; or the Supply Chain Operations Reference Digital Standard (SCOR-DS) model to advance the organization. (Note: Entries that fail to clearly explain how ASCM offerings are being employed by you/your nominee are ineligible for this award category.)
- Achievements: Has this individual realized achievements of significant merit that advance business processes, partnerships, and employee and customer satisfaction?
- Leadership potential: Has this individual demonstrated the ability to motivate, inspire and engage others through concreate actions?
- Influence: Are there clear examples of this individual using ASCM global standards, products, services and resources; the APICS body of knowledge; or the Supply Chain Operations Reference Digital Standard and/or SCOR-DS to make meaningful, noteworthy and enduring impacts? (Note: This criterion is weighted twice as heavily as the other criteria.)
The ASCM Award of Excellence — Supply Chain Leader honors an executive who exhibits extraordinary team and organizational leadership; provides dedicated coaching, mentoring and support of fellow professionals; and makes lasting contributions to the advancement of the supply chain profession.
Please read all questions carefully and answer as completely as possible:
- Describe the nominee’s extraordinary organizational and team leadership and encouragement of fellow supply chain professionals.
- Provide specific examples of how the nominee advances the organization and the supply chain profession through achievement; innovation; and effective, lasting contributions.
- Describe how the nominee uses ASCM global standards, products, services and resources; the APICS body of knowledge; or the Supply Chain Operations Reference Digital Standard and/or SCOR-DS to advance the organization and the supply chain profession. (Note: Entries that fail to clearly explain how ASCM offerings are being employed by you/your nominee are ineligible for this award category.)
- Achievement: Has this individual achieved aggressive goals while continuing to make a meaningful, noteworthy and enduring impact on the supply chain profession?
- Leadership: Does this individual communicate a clear vision to subordinates, and are teamwork and collaboration fostered and rewarded?
- Influence: Has this individual shared clear examples of using ASCM global standards, products, services and resources; the APICS body of knowledge; or the Supply Chain Operations Reference Digital Standard and/or SCOR-DS to make meaningful, noteworthy and enduring impacts? (Note: This criterion is weighted twice as heavily as the other criteria.)
The ASCM Award of Excellence — Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Champion honors a professional who displays exceptional commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, fosters professional environments that value equality and individual differences, and inspires people of all profiles and backgrounds to succeed in supply chain careers.

- Explain how the nominee demonstrates exceptional commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the supply chain industry by tapping into the collective power of diverse perspectives to generate superior supply chains.
- Provide specific examples of how the nominee fosters professional environments that value equal opportunity and individual differences.
- Explain how the nominee inspires and enables people of all profiles and backgrounds to succeed in supply chain careers.
- Dedication: Has this individual built teams, divisions or businesses that are distinctively representative of diverse attributes, cultures and viewpoints?
- Encouragement: Does this individual create situations that enable people of all profiles and backgrounds to contribute at the highest possible level in order to ensure their ultimate career success?
- Results and sustainability: Has this individual’s efforts led to practices that further diversity and inclusion in supply chain, and is there a clear plan in place to ensure the success is sustainable? (Note: This criterion is weighted twice as heavily as the other criteria.)

3. Create
Create your online application.
4. Save
During the Call for Applications period, your application can be saved as DRAFT until all the required information is completed and attachments uploaded. As each section is complete, you will see a appear in the category tab when the application is saved. At any time, you can download your application by clicking on the icon in the Summary section.
5. Submit
On completion, save your Nomination / Entry as FINAL. Download a copy by clicking on the icon in the Application Summary section in the right column. Note: If an update is required prior to the Call for Applications period, you can make the update and resave as FINAL.
