ASCM Awards of Excellence — Corporate

SCOR Implementation and Execution

The ASCM Award of Excellence — Supply Chain Performance honors organizations that achieve significant supply chain performance improvements using the Supply Chain Operations Reference Digital Standard (SCOR DS) to cultivate enhanced efficiency, visibility, consistency and strategic alignment in order to drive measurable business value.

Criteria:

  • Effective implementation of the SCOR DS framework across the organization
    • Comprehensive application of SCOR DS to standardize processes, enhance visibility and drive consistency
    • Use of SCOR metrics and key performance indicators to track progress, inform decisions and sustain improvements
  • Significant and quantifiable gains in at least one performance area (reliability, responsiveness, agility, cost, asset management)
    • For example, documented reductions in lead times demonstrating improved responsiveness or measured decreases in operational expenses displaying better cost efficiency
  • Clear strategies for continuous improvement
    • Articulated plans for scaling or expanding SCOR DS practices across business units, regions or supply chain tiers
  • Information-sharing for the advancement of the global supply chain community
    • Disseminating success stories and lessons learned, highlighting best practices and key tools
    • Participation in industry forums, benchmarking initiatives or ASCM programs related to transformation excellence

The ASCM Award of Excellence — Sustainability Catalyst celebrates organizations that drive positive change through the Supply Chain Operations Reference Digital Standard (SCOR DS) and ASCM's Enterprise Standards for Sustainability to cultivate environmental stewardship, social responsibility, ethical governance and a deeply embedded culture of sustainable practices across the supply chain.

Criteria:

  • Measuring and reporting sustainability
    • Use of SCOR metrics to measure supply chain performance and sustainability impact
    • Comprehensive and transparent reporting mechanisms that communicate sustainability performance and progress to stakeholders, using recognized frameworks and standards
  • Advancing holistic sustainability
    • Implementation of sustainable practices aligned with the environmental, social and governance dimensions outlined by ASCM
    • Quantifiable improvements in environmental performance (reduction in carbon footprint, waste, water usage)
    • Advancements in social sustainability (workforce development; diversity, equity and inclusion; community engagement) and/or governance improvements (ethical sourcing, transparency, compliance)
  • Strategically integrating ASCM resources
    • Thoughtful use of the SCOR DS and ASCM Enterprise Standards for Sustainability in long-term corporate strategy and supply chain design
  • Fostering a culture of sustainability
    • Clear integration of sustainability principles into the organization's core values, operational processes and strategic decision-making frameworks
    • Demonstrated leadership commitment and active engagement of employees across all levels in driving and supporting sustainability initiatives
  • Prioritizing continuous improvement
    • Articulated plans for scaling or expanding sustainability initiatives across business units, regions or supply chain tiers

The ASCM Award of Excellence — Future-Ready Skills Cultivation and Enablement acknowledges a team that embodies continuous learning about SCOR DS principles to cultivate the adaptability, strategic thinking, technical proficiency and effective communication skills crucial for navigating the increasing complexity and rapid evolution of future supply chains.

Criteria:

  • Strategic talent development
    • Completion of a SCOR DS–based organizational skills assessment to establish a skills baseline across critical supply chain domains
    • Creation and execution of a structured, measurable talent development plan informed by assessment results
    • Demonstrated and measurable improvement in workforce competencies based on ASCM-validated methods
  • Key performance indicators for talent growth
    • Percentage of the workforce upskilled or reskilled using ASCM solutions
    • Percentage of learners passing ASCM assessments
    • Demonstrated, ongoing employee education based on the ASCM talent assessment
  • Commitment to continuous learning
    • Evidence of an ongoing commitment to supply chain talent growth
    • Programs or systems in place that encourage continuous learning (internal academies, mentorship programs, digital learning platforms)
    • Integration of emerging competencies (digital fluency, sustainability, leadership, supply chain risk management)
  • Impact on supply chain outcomes
    • Clear examples of how talent development has contributed to improved supply chain operational efficiencies, faster time to market, increased supply chain resilience and/or greater customer satisfaction
    • Storytelling and case studies connecting workforce development to measurable business impacts
  • Diversity, equity and inclusion
    • Policies ensure that future-ready skills programs are inclusive and accessible across the organization
    • Targeted initiatives support underrepresented groups in supply chain roles

SCOR Alignment

SCOR Standards Alignment Recognition celebrates the foundational work of organizations showing a proactive commitment to supply chain excellence by taking significant steps to align their operations with the globally recognized Supply Chain Operations Reference Digital Standard (SCOR DS), even if the full results of their efforts are still emerging.

Organizations can submit for recognition in three distinct areas:

  • Performance Management: Honoring efforts to define, measure and analyze performance across key processes, building a data-driven foundation for excellence
  • Sustainability Catalyst: Recognizing initiatives that embed environmental and social responsibility into supply chain strategy and operations, demonstrating a commitment to ethical and sustainable practices
  • Talent Development: Celebrating programs and initiatives that invest in building the skills and capabilities of supply chain professionals, ensuring a knowledgeable workforce ready to drive future success

ASCM Awards of Excellence — Individual

ASCM Award of Excellence — Supply Cain Performance Champion distinguishes individuals who use the Supply Chain Operations Reference Digital Standard (SCOR DS) to lead their organizations and colleagues to supply chain performance transformation excellence, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, strategic alignment and data-driven decision-making.

Criteria:

  • Guiding transformation
    • Adoption and integration of the SCOR DS framework championed throughout the organization
    • Leadership of cross-functional teams through the transformation process using SCOR DS principles and metrics
    • Support of mentorship, training or similar development opportunities to build SCOR DS capabilities in others
  • Performance improvements
    • Significant and quantifiable improvements in supply chain performance (service level, cost, agility, asset efficiency)
    • Use of SCOR DS metrics to track progress and drive results
  • Digital alignment
    • Opportunities to align digital transformation with SCOR DS practices identified and effectively leveraged
  • Thought leadership
    • Recognition as a thought leader or role model in supply chain transformation
    • Sharing of best practices for the advancement of the global supply chain community
  • Clear strategies for continuous improvement
    • Articulated plans for scaling or expanding transformation initiatives across business units, regions or supply chain tiers

ASCM Award of Excellence — Sustainability Champion elevates individuals who lead their organizations and colleagues to sustainability excellence with the Supply Chain Operations Reference Digital Standard (SCOR DS) and ASCM Standards for Sustainability in order to cultivate a deep commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility and ethical governance throughout the value chain.

Criteria:

  • Leading and empowering a culture of sustainability
    • Successful integration of SCOR DS and the ASCM Enterprise Standards for Sustainability into supply chain strategies
    • Use of SCOR DS metrics and processes to monitor, improve and communicate sustainability performance
    • Sustainability embedded into the organizational culture and supply chain processes
    • Education and empowerment of colleagues for impactful participation in sustainability initiatives
    • Advancement of social responsibility initiatives (fair labor, diversity and inclusion, community engagement)
  • Driving measurable ESG outcomes
    • Demonstrated, measurable improvements for positive environmental, social or governance (ESG) outcomes
  • Reducing environmental impact
    • Leadership related to the reduction of environmental footprint (emissions, waste, energy, water)
  • Advocating for sustainability
    • Amplification and prioritization of sustainability within and beyond the organization (across departments, to leadership, with external partners)
    • Sustainability thought leadership (presentations, publications, mentoring) and collaboration with industry peers, suppliers or customers to elevate sustainability practices across the value chain
  • Strategizing for continuous improvement
    • Articulated plans for scaling or expanding sustainability initiatives across business units, regions or supply chain tiers

Log in to the award with your email and password.

3. Create

Create your online application.

4. Save

Your application can be saved as a DRAFT until all the required information is completed and attachments uploaded. As each section is complete, you will see a appear in the category tab when the application is saved. At any time, you can download your application by clicking on the icon in the Summary section.

5. Submit

On completion, save your entry as FINAL. Download a copy by clicking on the icon in the Application Summary section in the right column. Note: If an update is required, you can make the update and resave as FINAL.
